Meet The Teachers
Joe MadisonJoe has been teaching at Blue Star Music since it's first day in 1988. His relaxed style helps you “play” music instead of “study” it. The large number of his former students performing worldwide is a testament that this style works. His primary instrument is the guitar, but he also gives lessons and insight on banjo, mandolin, slide guitar, dobro and recently, accordion. Joe has performed locally since the early 1980's. He has been a member of “The Country Legend Band”, “The Daily Planet”, The Water Brothers”, “Karma Bums” and now performs with “The Last Straw”. Joe acts as MC of the noted open mic at Rapunzel's Coffee and Books on the second Friday of each month and has done it for over 10 years.
